Meeting+News

We are holding our monthly meeting at Pontarddulais Cricket Club at the usual time of 7.30pm on Wednesday.
All welcome.

John Evans has found a willing volunteer to take over the Treasurer position and he will be introducing Steve to us at the meeting.  Windsor Kay and I have met Steve at the Pontarddulais Partnership meeting we attended and we look forward to working with him.

Joy Walker, our founding Friends Vice Chair is selling a flatbed trailer 36" x 68" with ramp, winch, tool box, jockey wheel and lights. It has two new tyres but the wheels have to be attached to it before it can be taken away. Joy is asking £100 for it - if you are interested or know anyone who might be please give her a ring on 01792 882266.

Adam Mason has sent this link through about the Grow Local courses that are running at Singleton Park Botanical Gardens in case anyone is interested you can book directly using this link.

And finally I am so pleased to say that we also have had a donation of a lap top computer - thanks to Robert Morgan.  I will bring this to the meeting and then there can be no excuse for me not doing the notes straight away.

QE2 Award

You may have noticed a rather sculptured piece of wood by the Gwynfryn road entrance to the park.
This is going to be our little monument for the QE2 plaque which will be unveiled on August 2nd at 2pm.

What does this mean for the park? Click on the link below for more information.

As usual we thank the boy's from the City and County of Swansea for helping us move this quite sizeable object to it's current location.

We hope to see you there on the day to celebrate with us.

Other News.

As you are aware we have a new playing surface on the Tennis courts and we are receiving very good reviews about the way the way it plays. At the same time an old chain fencing was taken down by the car park/bowls green and this has now been replaced with a more up to date fence.
Again thank's to everybody involved in constructing this as the area looks a lot nicer.
